With the easing of COVID restrictions in Melbourne, on Friday 22nd October, In Dialogue Practice would like to inform you of updates to our COVID-Safe protocols. These protocols are to promote a safe environment for our staff and clients.
Vaccinations:
- In line with DHHS requirements, all therapists and staff at In Dialogue Practice are fully vaccinated
- If attending onsite, clients aged 16 and over are expected to be fully vaccinated
- Proof of vaccination status will need to be presented to Admin upon arrival
- Clients with exceptional circumstances can request a review of their circumstances by their therapist and practice directors
Telehealth / Therapy in person:
- Telehealth remains the preferred mode of delivery for now
- If you feel you need to return to therapy in the practice, please discuss this with your therapist
- If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, have been in contact with a positive case of COVID-19, or have visited an exposure site, please do not attend the clinic, your session will need to be held via Telehealth
If attending the practice:
- On arrival you’ll be asked to respond to a COVID screening questionnaire
- You’ll need to check in via our QR code or manual record
- Please sanitise your hands
- Masks must be worn at all times in our practice. If you have a mask exemption, please notify the clinic when scheduling your appointment
- Arrive at the time of your appointment, please do not arrive earlier to wait in our waiting room
- Parents, friends, carers will need to wait offsite during sessions
If you have any questions or would like to know more, please call In Dialogue Practice
Where else can I get support?

If you have young children and are unsure how to talk with them about COVID-19, Emerging Minds have a lovely short video outlining general principles of talking with children about natural disasters and world events:
We are aware that this is a time of uncertainty, and many of us will hold concerns about our physical, mental, financial and families wellbeing. We hope we can continue to work together to support you, your families, our staff and therapists to navigate this as best we can.
